FINGER BOARDER MAGICAL MOSH MISFITS TEAM
@ Daikanyama Tsutaya Bookstore
On Saturday 4th October, the first holiday during the event period, a fingerboard demonstration will take place on the first floor car floor of Daikanyama Tsutaya Bookstore Building 2, one of the venues.
KoHsuke Yamauchi creates artworks establishing a unique style that combines traditional woodworking techniques. He also crafts cruising decks for relaxed, leisurely skating. For this #weeeels project, he has created the dream ‘Finger Skate Park’.
The dream “finger skate park” brought to life as an art installation will be demoed by the MAGICAL MOSH MISFITS TEAM members, performing without any prior practice. Providing commentary is Jima, whose content appears within the skateboarding web media VHSMAG. His commentary will resonate widely, from those new to finger skating to seasoned finger skaters who know the tricks inside out.
The mutant domestic collective of MAGICAL MOSH MISFITS, leading the rapidly evolving finger skateboarding scene worldwide with events like this tournament, will dazzle you!
Human endeavour might not be able to pull it off ?!
Do join us for a session at the dream “Finger Skate Park” !
On the day of the demo, we'll be running “Finger Skate SKOOL” exclusively for customers who purchase a Finger Skate! This is a gentle introductory session perfect for those thinking, ‘I've been curious, but how do you actually play with it?’ or ‘I bought one, but where do I start?’ We'll teach you the basics of riding and how to use the practice section.
Customers who have purchased finger skateboards may participate free of charge, but as space is limited, advance booking is required. Those wishing to participate should reserve via the form below or via Instagram DM.
We look forward to welcoming you all =)
※ On the day of the demonstration, the dream ‘Finger Skate Park’ currently on display and sale at the Daikanyama Tsutaya Books Gallery Space will be relocated to the area in front of the cash registers within the same store. Skating within the art installation will be limited to demonstration runs only. We kindly ask for your cooperation in respecting the other artworks within the store.
※ Should there be a large number of applications for the sKool, we may divide the session into two segment depending on the situation on the day.
Furthermore, please be advised that the finishing time may be extended depending on how the session progresses.

Strongly influenced by the board styles of skate culture's dawn, he began designing and crafting skateboards carved from solid, single-piece planks.
He launched GRAIN-ON SKATEBOARDS.
Leveraging the skills and experience honed as a furniture craftsman, he established a unique style combining the deck-making methods of that era with traditional woodworking techniques. His decks, designed using various wood species with differing natural hues and left unstained, have garnered significant support from enthusiasts. While continuing production, he also focused on creating unconventional works that challenge the concept of skateboards and exploring expression using diverse materials he encountered, such as woodworking and architecture. In 2021, he held a solo exhibition as the artist ‘GRAIN’. He unveiled ‘SKATE MOBILE’, a vehicle rendered solely from various skate parts and timber, showcasing new artistic frontiers.
In recent years, he has actively participated in group exhibitions such as HIDDEN CHAMPION and held solo shows, continuing to present artworks centred on street culture while expanding his creative horizons as an artist.

A mutant domestic collective expressing and operating freely, unconstrained by genre boundaries. The trademark Magical Skull, bearing MxMxM's teeth, embodies the meaning that skin colour, language, and gender are irrelevant.
‘MAGICAL’ refers to that special thing each person becomes utterly absorbed in. ‘MOSH’ means enjoying oneself to the fullest. ‘MISFITS’ refers to those who defy convention. In essence, it means ‘magical, mischievous misfits’.
Crossing over cultural elements, primarily skateboarding and music, they actively develop collaborative items with brands like THRASHER USA, as well as beloved characters such as Hello Kitty, RATFINK, and Kinnikuman. The skateboard park attached to their headquarters is also a popular spot.
His profound passion for cars is recognised both domestically and internationally through his feature in Porsche's official lifestyle magazine, “TYPE 7”, Vol. 2.
Drawing upon his upbringing and experiences, he has created numerous car-themed works. His signature piece, “TOKYO 911 TALES”, portrays a worldview capturing moments where people, cars, and the city intersect, set against the backdrop of Tokyo, the city where he was born and raised.
"Tokyo is an immense city, formed by the gathering of countless people. The cars seen in my work and the people passing by are captured in a single instant, yet within that moment lie countless stories. This theme – that these stories are both profoundly poignant and precious – underpins the creation of these works. Walking through Tokyo, one sometimes feels a nostalgic and peculiar sensation. In such scenes, there are always “cars” and “people” sharing the roads, and within this series lie 911 distinct tales."
Originally from Aizuwakamatsu City in Fukushima Prefecture, currently based in Honmoku, Yokohama. After graduating from university, he began his career as a stage actor and advertising designer, eventually founding his own design company and engaging in a wide range of creative ventures.
A major turning point in his life led him to pursue a new path as an artist. He began working as a graphic artist with a focus on motor culture, creating official visuals and merchandise for both domestic and international brands and personalities, including Harley-Davidson, DUCATI, and racing icon Keiichi Tsuchiya.
In recent years, his activities have expanded globally. In 2025, he was selected as the key visual artist for Wheels and Waves, one of Europe's premier motorcycle culture events.
He’s also the founder of two apparel brands:
“White T-Shirts and Black Motorcycles.” – a lifestyle label that celebrates everyday life with motorcycles
“GRAT™” – a T-shirt brand for those who love his unique graphic style.
Born in Meguro Ward, Tokyo
From Year 6, he began skateboarding, Komazawa Park in Tokyo as his base. It was not an era where one could easily find skateboarding peers of the same age to pursue his own enjoyment, he felt instinctively, even as a child, that overcoming the “wall” before him was necessary.
After graduating from Tokyo Metropolitan Arts High School, he became captivated by art, surf, and skate in San Diego, USA. He subsequently travelled through California, Indonesia, and Central and South America, painting along the way. In 1995, he exhibited at the ‘WALK’ exhibition held in San Diego. Since then, he has steadily held solo exhibitions at galleries both in Japan and abroad, working at his own pace.
From 29th September 2025 for two weeks, he is holding a solo exhibition at the BAR巡MIGURI in Shizuoka.
